south of Rt. 202 in Mahwah, NJ

Meeting Time: 5:00pm

Plan: Form carpools at Doubletree Hotel to depart to trailhead by 5:30. Plan
for a moderate (3-5 mile total) hike, with intention to make a scenic

5:30 pm is imperative.

Saturday.

Event duration: Last time we were back at the cars around 11pm. But please
dont be in a hurry to get back.

What to bring: flash light(s) and/or lantern(s), hiking boots, casual seasonal
outdoor clothing for a moderate hike, sweater (evening may be chilly) food and
beverage(s) of your choice to cookout and share. Please bring paper plates,
cups and plastic utensils to share. Camp grills, cooking forks and serving
plates to share are helpful as well.

Moon phase: May 6th is beginning of the moon’s 3rd quarter, rising 1:35pm,
so the moon should be high in the night sky while we are hiking.

Rain: Rain existing or eminent cancels the hike. In such case we will post
notice of cancellation on the invitation page:
Moonlight Hike May 6th
as far in advance as possible. Please check the website before you leave if weather is questionable. In the event of rain, hike will be rescheduled for the following
weekend May 13th, 2006.

RSVP: It would be helpful for us to have an idea of how many people to
expect. Please rsvp on the invitation page:
